Police are searching for a man who robbed a Salt Lake City credit union Monday and then rode off on a mountain bike.

The robber walked into the Mountain America Credit Union at 1225 S. Redwood Road just before 10:20 a.m. and handed someone a note demanding cash, Salt Lake police said.

He left the credit union, heading north on a green mountain bike, police said.

The man was described as 6 feet tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He wore a blue San Diego Chargers hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black gloves, sunglasses and a cloth covering his face, police said.

Anyone with information concerning the robbery is asked to call police at 801-799-3000.
