FOX Soccer will carry two Real Salt Lake games

New York—Real Salt Lake will play two nationally-televised games this season on the FOX Soccer channel, Major League Soccer announced Friday. RSL's game against Houston on May 14 at Rio Tinto Stadium and Real Salt Lake's game on Aug. 27 in Los Angeles against Chivas USA will be carried by FOX Soccer. In all, the network will carry up to 31 league games, including three MLS Cup playoff matches. "FOX Soccer has been a tremendous partner for MLS for many years and we are very happy that we have been able to extend the relationship," league president Mark Abbott said in a statement. "Through both its news coverage and its extensive schedule of MLS games, Fox Soccer allows MLS fans across the country to follow their club as well as their rivals." The FOX Soccer schedule begins March 19 when Colorado begins defense of its MLS Cup championship against the expansion Portland Timbers in Denver. "We're extremely pleased to be home to MLS – the gold standard for soccer in the U.S. - for our ninth straight season," said FOX Soccer general manager David Nathanson.
