Heavy snows forced the closure of Interstate 15 between Beaver and Interstate 70 on Monday night, troopers said.

All westbound traffic on I-70 was blocked by a semitrailer truck in Clear Creek Canyon, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.

Also closed was State Road 143 in Iron County between Brian Head and Mammoth Creek.

As of 9:15 p.m., Interstate 80 in Parleys Canyon had reopened to vehicles with four-wheel drive or chains.

Traffic in U.S. Highway 89 was restricted to vehicles with four-wheel drive or chains in Sardine Canyon.
