Some key freeway ramps near downtown Salt Lake City will be closed nightly over the next several days to allow bridge maintenance.

The Utah Department of Transportation says the ramp from southbound Interstate 15 to westbound Interstate 80 will be closed for up to four nights beginning Thursday.

Also, the ramp from eastbound I-80 to northbound I-15 will be closed for four nights beginning Friday.

The ramps will be closed weeknights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., and open for the morning commute. On weekends, the ramps will close at 8 p.m. and reopen by 8 a.m. the next day.

UDOT says drivers coming from Davis County should use Interstate 215 to access westbound I-80 and Salt Lake City International Airport during the closure.

Construction schedules are dependent on weather and subject to change. Up-to-date information is available online at udottraffic.utah.gov, or by downloading the UDOT traffic app.
