Dr. Pavlov has nothing on Glenn Beck, who can make his listeners not just salivate but spend money if he mentions something on his radio show.

This morning, Beck interviewed Farmington author Chris Stewart, who cowrote (with Ted Stewart) "The Miracle of Freedom: 7 Tipping Points that Saved the World," an examination of "how unusual the blessing of freedom is in the human experience," according to a release from the book's publisher, Salt Lake City-based Shadow Mountain.

Beck gushed over the book, and over Chris Stewart, a pilot and Air Force veteran:

"It is a history book that you will read, as I am, in the middle of the night and not be able to put it down. I've been waking up in the last few days with my glasses half way off my face and lights still on at 2 o'clock in the morning, I've fallen asleep reading it every night, I can't turn my light off – I love this book."

This afternoon, Beck's listeners moved the book to No. 8 on Amazon's best-seller list.
