Newsweek's annual list of the best high schools in the country is out, and three Utah high schools made the top 500 this year. InTech Collegiate High, a North Logan charter school ranks at #161. Park City High ranks at #179, and Hillcrest High in Midvale ranks at #445.

This year the rankings were based on the following criteria: graduation rate (25%), college matriculation rate (25%), and AP tests taken per graduate (25%), plus average SAT/ACT scores (10%), average AP/IB scores (10%), and AP courses offered per graduate (5%). The list was compiled from more than 1,100 top high schools that supplied internal data.
