Westminster College had 12 teams receive a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics NAIA Scholar Team award, putting the Salt Lake City private college among the nation's leaders for most teams recognized by the NAIA and is the most the school has ever received.

The NAIA recognized Westminster's men's basketball, women's golf, women's soccer, women's cross country, women's indoor and outdoor track, men's golf, women's basketball, men's outdoor track, women's volleyball and men's soccer. This marks the second straight year that every eligible team at Westminster was honored by the NAIA.

The Westminster men's basketball team finished the year with a 3.62 GPA, which was the highest of any team at Westminster. They also carried the highest GPA of any men's basketball team across the country for the second consecutive season.

For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar Team award, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all varsity student-athletes certified as eligible.
