The Anne Stirba Cancer Foundation's Second Annual Concert of Hope to Cure will donate proceeds to the Huntsman Cancer Institute for breast cancer research. Amy Grant, the 50-year-old contemporary Christian and gospel singer, said in an interview that her father was a radiation oncologist who spent his life treating cancer patients, so she's proud to headline this benefit concert. Along with husband Vince Gill, Grant has been raising three children. Tonight, the eve before Saturday's Abravanel concert, she's scheduled to drop off her 18-year-old daughter off at Manhattan's The New School. Grant frequently tours with fellow Christian artist Michael W. Smith, and in 2010 she released "Somewhere Down the Road," her 22nd album, with a decidedly spiritual bent, different from such mainstream songs as "Baby Baby."
