Deron Williams makes his official public return to Utah on Saturday.

The ex-Jazz point guard will join former Utah teammate Kyle Korver in hosting their third-annual dodgeball tournament, a charity event that will be held at The Factory in Lehi.

"We expect to have a good turnout," said Jeff Smith, a business associate and family member of Williams'.

Doors for the event are scheduled to open at 7:30 a.m., and games are set to start at 9. The tournament will run until about 4 p.m., with an autograph session slated from noon until 1 p.m. that will feature Williams and Korver. Admission is $10, while children 12-and-under will be admitted free. More information can be obtained at pointofhopefoundation.org.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Midvale via Williams' Point of Hope Foundation and the Seer Group, the Utah branch of the Kyle Korver Foundation.

The Jazz's C.J. Miles and Portland guard Wesley Matthews, who formerly played for Utah, are expected to attend.

Williams starred for the Jazz for nearly six seasons, earning two All-Star selections before being traded Feb. 23 to New Jersey.

He spent part of this week practicing in Salt Lake City with former Jazz teammates Paul Millsap and Miles, among others. Williams' workouts were in preparation for his upcoming schedule with Turkish professional team Besiktas. He has signed a contract to play for the club as long as the NBA is engaged in a lockout and the 2011-12 season is on hold.

Williams recently used his Twitter account to thank University of Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak for allowing him to use the Utes' basketball court. Utes freshman guard Kareem Story said via Twitter that he worked out with Williams.
