Jazz forward Jeremy Evans will compete in the upcoming Impact Basketball League, an IBL spokesman confirmed Friday.

Evans has been listed on the initial roster of players that are scheduled to participate in the event, which is set for Sept. 12-23 in Las Vegas and will feature more than 60 NBA players.

New York's Chauncey Billups, Washington's John Wall and Memphis' Zach Randolph are among those listed as participants. The IBL is the first major official gathering of NBA players during the lockout, which has lasted for more than two months.

Press release:

Joe Abunassar and Impact Basketball, the world's leader in basketball training and development, will host an unprecedented training and competition series Sept. 12-23 in Las Vegas.

Over 60 NBA players will attend to train and play competitive games each day. Games will be held Monday through Thursday during the week of September 12, and Monday through Friday the week of September 19. After the conclusion of daily skills and performance workouts, the competitive games will be conducted at 1:30, 3:30, 5:30, and 7:30 p.m.

"This will be an amazing two weeks for all of us NBA players who have been working and training hard all summer to get together and have a chance to really get after it on the court against some of the best players in the league," Billups said. "I have trained with Joe for fourteen years and Impact continues to be the world's elite place to train and improve your game. This will be a great two weeks for everyone."

Top players that will participate include Billups, Wall, Rashard Lewis, Mo Williams, Kyle Lowry, Jermaine O'Neal, Corey Maggette, Randolph and Stephen Jackson. Many of the 2011 NBA Draft picks will also participate, including Derrick Williams, Iman Shumpert and Kawhi Leonard.

"Never before in the offseason have so many great players come together to train and play," Abunassar said. "I am thrilled to be able to provide our world-class training environment and system to so many great players. This will be an experience of a lifetime for our Impact Academy students — everything we do at Impact is built from our experiences of training great pros and all-stars over the past 15 years. This will certainly enhance our entire program for all of our athletes."

A limited number of seats will be available at will call at the IMPACT ticket office on site.

Though most players will participate in the entire two-week training and competitive series, some players will not attend every day due to previously scheduled engagements.

Impact is expecting additional commitments over the next few days and the roster of players will be updated daily.
