Letter: Time to cut Hatch off the taxpayer dole

Does Sen. Orrin Hatch realize the irony of his recent comments on health care? He has been trying to "repeal and replace" the ACA for years. His most recent comments, while ludicrous coming from his mouth, are an insult to all of us. He said that it is difficult to change from Obamacare because "once Americans get on the government dole, they'll take every dime they can." He goes on to say we need to get things under control "or this country and your future is going to be gone."

Hatch has been in the U.S. Senate for more than 40 years. His salary comes from the government (paid by our taxes). He gets the best medical insurance paid for by the government. His benefits are compliments of the government. And he accuses citizens who are trying to not go bankrupt when they need medical care of being on the dole?

My suggestion for getting things under control is to make sure Hatch is not re-elected. He will no longer be on the dole taking every dime he can.
