Chewa King Kalonga Gawa Undi of Zambia honored Nu Skin Enterprises and its independent distributors Friday for their humanitarian efforts that have benefitted his people.

The ceremony with Chewa dancers came on the second day of the Provo company's annual sales convention in Salt Lake City, with more than 13,000 people from about 50 of the company's markets expected to attend.

The Nu Generation Global Convention will bring nearly $12 million to Utah's economy, said the company that sells its skin care, anti-aging and nutritional supplement products.

The largest delegation was from Japan, with 4,091 people, Nu Skin said, followed by the U.S. with 3,204, Korea 2,938 and China, 1,134.

The convention is the largest in the company's more than 25 years of operations, Nu Skin said. It comes the same week the company reported record third quarter earnings and said its stock price had reached an all-time high during trading.
