Tonight: Gordon Lightfoot at Tuacahn

Ivins • Veteran folk singer Gordon Lightfoot will perform Thursday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at the Tuacahn Center for the Arts near St. George.

The Canadian folk singer and songwriter is a member of the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame and has seven gold albums. Singers such as Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Olivia Newton-John, Nanci Griffith and Barbra Streisand have covered his songs.

In a career spanning more than 45 years, he has recorded more than 200 songs and has written many more. He continues to write and has been credited with influencing the sound of other artists such as Don Fogelberg and Jimmy Buffett.
