If anybody tells you they were expecting Real Salt Lake to beat Seattle Sounders FC 3-0 in the first leg of their playoff series, they're lying. NOBODY expected that result.

But no RSL fans are complaining about the way things turned out. Except, perhaps, that their team actually could have won by more.

The MLS playoffs (8 p.m., ESPN2) continue tonight with Real Salt Lake in Seattle to take on the Sounders in the second leg of the series. Essentially, the two matches are two halves of the same game, and whoever scores the most goals wins.

So if RSL wins tonight, the team moves on to the Western Confernce finals. If RSL ties, they move on. If RSL loses by one goal, they move on. If RSL loses by two goals, they move on.

If RSL loses by three goals, they go to overtime. And if that ends in a tie, they go to a shoot-out.

And if RSL loses by four or more goals ... well, we don't want to think about that. (Because that means RSL will be out.)

Oh, and there is another MLS playoff game tonight - Colorado Rapids at Sporting Kansas City (6 p.m., Fox Soccer Channel).
