Tuesday on TV: "Rudolph" returns with that scary Abominable Snowmonster

Forty-seven years after it debuted, Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2) remains one of the best holiday specials ever.

Embarrassing truth: Many years ago, when I was a small child, I was frightened by the Abominable Snowmonster. Even though bumbles bounce.

If you get that, you've clearly seen "Rudolph." And who hasn't?
