Utah's defense gets a chance to show just how good it is against the run one more time thanks to the Sun Bowl matchup against Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets use the triple option, a formation the Utes last saw in a bowl game against Navy and saw every year when they played Air Force in the MWC. The Yellow Jackets rank third in the country averaging 316.8 rushing yards a game. The Utes rank eight nationally giving up just 97 rushing yards a game. Utah defensive lineman Dave Kruger, for one, doesn't mind the matchup. "The defensive ends have to keep containment and everyone has to play their positions so no one can go for the quarterback when they have the running back," Kruger said. "Everyone has to stick with what they were taught and play their positions." As for the Utes' attitude after losing to Colorado, Kruger, offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom and running back John White said the Utes won't let that loss affect their bowl game. "We have a lot of time, mental time, to get our plays together and work things out," White said. "We'll be prepared to play." "The biggest thing is the only way to get over a loss is to win a game," Bergstrom said. "We have time on our side, to get away and get back up for playing so we'll be ready for it." As for White, he said he'll be fine too after leaving the Colorado game early with an ankle injury. "I'll be fine," he said. "Don't worry about it, I'll be fine."
