The American Football Coaches Association has named Weber State senior offensive lineman and Utah native J.C. Oram to its 2011 FCS First-Team All-American Team.

The graduate of Fremont high School was part of an offensive line that blocked for several all-conference runners, including Trevyn Smith, who was the Wildcats career leader in rushing. He also blocked for 2008 Big Sky MVP quarterback Cameron Higgins, the school and league all-time career touchdown leader.

He started all 11 games for the Wildcats this season, earning Big Sky All-Conference First Team honors for the second straight season. He played in 48 games for Weber in his career, starting 47 of them. He was part of the Wildcats team that won the Big Sky title in 2008 and helped Weber to the FCS playoffs in 2008 and 2009.

He is one of eight players from the Big Sky that earned AFCA All-America Team. It is voted on exclusively by collegiate football coaches.
