"Trigger" is the story of two women, Kat and Vic, who a decade ago were bandmates in a rock band — best friends and enemies at the same time.

The movie finds them a decade later, with Kat (Molly Parker, from "Deadwood") a successful TV executive and Vic (Tracy Wright, memorable in "Me and You and Everyone We Know") still trying to squeeze out a living as a guitarist.

"Trigger" screens on Monday, Dec. 12, at the Tower Theatre, 876 E. 900 South, Salt Lake City.

The movie is directed by Canadian filmmaker Bruce McDonald, and was Wright's last film before dying of pancreatic cancer in 2010.

The screening, part of the Utah Film Center's Damn These Heels! year-round program for LGBT films, starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
