If you see Sen. Mike Lee sporting a USS IOWA baseball cap, there's an explanation. He was one of 58 senators who participated in a Secret Santa gift exchange on Tuesday, the first in the history of the Senate.Organized in an attempt to boost congeniality, Sens. AL Franken, D-Minn. and Mike Johanns, R-Neb., set up the gift swap, similar to those held in offices and among friends throughout the nation. Of the 58 senators who signed up, 21 were Republicans, including Utah's freshman senator.Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch did not participate. They picked names a few weeks ago and agreed to a $10 limit, most senators went for gifts that represented the states they... well, represent. Lee gave Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D. some honeybee earbuds for his iPod. And Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, gave Lee some sausage and chocolate from Iowa along with that USS IOWA cap. Matt CanhamTwitter: @mattcanham
