After two days off to take care of exams, USU is back to practice and preparing for Seattle on Saturday.

They are doing it with an air of confidence that didn't previously exist last week. Utah State lost to Wichita State on Saturday, but in doing so the Aggies scored over 50 points in the second half. For the first time all season, USU looked cohesive with the ball.

Shots were falling, and more importantly, Utah State found itself getting good shots. That could bode well for the rest of the season, as the WAC portion of the schedule is rapidly approaching.

"It's definitely a confidence boost," Danny Berger said. "We were able to score and play with a very good team. We think we can build on that."

USU will face Seattle and then there will be a very tough Gossner Tournament next week, featuring Kent State and St. Peters. Mississippi State awaits on New Years eve.
