On Feb. 23, West Virgina-bred bluegrass musician and multi-instrumentalist Tim O'Brien will headline a concert at The State Room that will be presented by The Intermountain Acoustic Music Association.
This will be a benefit show for the Cancer Wellness House of Salt Lake City.
The show will begin at 8 p.m.
Making the show even better is that Kate MacLeod will open the show. Her 2009 CD "Blooming" was produced by O'Brien.
In 2005, O'Brien won a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album for "Fiddler's Green." In 1993 and 2006, O'Brien won the International Bluegrass Music Association's (IBMA)'s Male Vocalist of the Year award.
