Original Cast Recording of Sundance-premiered "Once" coming in March

Sony Masterworks just announced the signing of the Original Cast Recording of "Once," a new musical based on the Sundance-debuted film.

The album will be recorded on Tuesday, January 17 in anticipation of a March 2012 release.The musical tells the story of an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant drawn together by their shared love of music over the course of one fateful week.The musical features the Academy Award-winning music and lyrics of Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, a book by award-winning Irish playwright & screenwriter, Enda Walsh, direction by acclaimed Scottish director John Tiffany, and music supervision and orchestrations by Martin Lowe ("Mamma Mia!").The show is currently running through Sunday, January 15 at New York Theatre Workshop and begins previews at Broadway's Bernard B.
