The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a large-scale recall of Tassimo and Bosch brand single-cup brewers. The plastic disc, or T Disc, that holds the coffee or tea can burst and spray hot liquid, coffee grounds or tea leaves during the brewing cycle, posing a burn hazard. The agency has reviewed about 140 reports by consumers, including more than three dozen reports of second-degree burn injuries. In one case, a 10-year-old girl received second-degree burns to her face and neck and had to be hospitalized. Go HERE to read the recall announcement.
