SB175 • Utah schools might be off the hook for another year when it comes to being graded, if a bill that passed out of committee Friday becomes law.
The Senate Education Committee approved SB175 unanimously on Friday, after bill sponsor Sen. Wayne Niederhauser, R-Sandy, said more time is needed to work out details on the state's new grading system.
If SB175 passes into law, schools will begin receiving grades after the 2012-2013 school year instead of this fall.
