Special Olympics benefit
Harmons Grocery Stores kicks off its 18th annual Frozen Food Month in March to benefit Special Olympics Utah. The local grocery chain plans to raise $200,000 to support the charity's educational programs and athletic events. Beginning Monday, Feb. 27, and continuing throughout March, Harmons is encouraging the community to buy frozen food at its 16 stores, and a portion of the purchase price will be donated to Special Olympics. Customers are also invited to donate $1, $3 or $5 at cash registers, or to purchase root beer floats on the weekends to benefit individual teams.
