Utah State women closing out successful season

Logan • The Utah State women's basketball team will meet Hawaii Thursday at 7 p.m.

The Aggies take an 18-8 overall and 9-3 Western Athletic Conference into the meet after beating Idaho in Logan last week. The Aggies currently trail Fresno State, which has already earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming tournament. The 18 wins are a school record for Utah State.

Hawaii brings an 11-16 overall record and 6-6 league mark into the game. The Aggies beat Hawaii on the Islands 69-55 earlier this year.

Utah State ends the regular season against San Jose State Saturday at 7 p.m. The Aggies say good by to seniors Chelsea Burns, Ashlee Brown, Banna Diop, Brooke Jackson, Maddy Plunkett and Reyneisha Mays in that game.
