Utahns rank high for wellbeing, Gallup reports

Are you feeling happy, Utah?

According to a Gallup survey, you should be.

The Gallup Healthways Well-Being survey, released this week, puts Utah as tied for fourth among the 50 states for wellbeing.

The study measures people's quality of life, emotional and physical health, access to basic necessities, work environment and healthy behaviors.

Hawaii came in first in the survey, for the third year running. North Dakota took second, and Minnesota was third. Utah tied with Alaska for fourth. The rest of the top 10 were: Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Hampshire and Montana.

In last place was West Virginia.
