NPR Music will mark its fifth trip to SXSW by bringing audiences a series of firsts:

• Fiona Apple will return to the national spotlight when she opens NPR Music's official SXSW showcase at Stubb's on March 14, her first concert outside of Los Angeles in five years.

• Next up, the just-announced first live broadcast of the SXSW music keynote, featuring Bruce Springsteen.

• And, on March 15, Magnetic Fields headline the annual NPR Music day party during their first trip to SXSW. The events will be available to audiences everywhere through live audio and video streams at www.npr.org/music. All concert webcasts, archived recordings, reports, photo galleries and the SXSW podcast will be at www.npr.org/sxsw.

NPR Music is live video streaming acts from the SXSW opening night showcase at Stubb's, and once again offers its annual daytime concert at the Parish: NPR Music Presents SXSW Showcase Live from Stubb'sWednesday, March 14 at 6:45 p.m. (MT)Fiona Apple makes her return to the national spotlight with a special performance. Also, Andrew Bird, soul rockers The Alabama Shakes, electronic musician Dan Deacon and singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten will perform at the showcase.
