Salt Lake Community College's nationally-ranked baseball and softball teams will be in action this weekend.
The 17th-ranked baseball team, 12-3 overall and 3-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play, will host CNCC Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at noon in a pair of doubleheaders at Cate Field. SLCC won three of four league games over the College of Southern NEvada last week, outs scoring the Coyotes 29-7.
The No. 2-ranked softball team, 22-5 overall and 13-3 in the league, will play doubleheaders at 1 p.m. and noon against in-state rival Snow College in Ephraim. Snow is 10-8 overall and 8-6 in league play.
