Just days before Utah's GOP caucus meetings, Sen. Orrin Hatch wants voters to know that he has the backing of Utah's most popular politican. The campaign just released a TV spot from none other than Mitt Romney.

The new spot, shows Romney saying: "We can count on Sen. Orrin Hatch in the fight to lower taxes, to balance the budget and to repeal the federal government takeover of health care."And it comes just days after they released a radio ad from Romney. The Hatch camp is hoping the presidential candidate will spur Utah Republicans to attend those caucus meetings and elect delegates who are sympathetic to their candidate.Hatch has three GOP competitors – former state Sen. Dan Liljenquist, state Rep. Chris Herrod and Timothy Aalders — who will try to oust him at the convention.Romney's help is obviously beneficial, but it isn't a game changer. Romney also supported former Sen. Bob Bennett, going so far as to introduce him at the convention, just hours before the delegates dropped him from the ticket.— Matt CanhamTwitter: @mattcanham
