Utes land '13 point guard Julian Jacobs

Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak has received his first oral commitment from the class of 2013. Julian Jacobs, a 6-foot-3 point guard from Desert Pines (Nev), according to a number of media reports.

Jacobs was a high prioriy for Utah. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Jacobs averaged 12.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.9 assists last season and was a third-team all-state selection.

According to Scout, Jacobs also had offers from Saint Mary's, Santa Clara and Pepperdine, and was drawing interest from USC, Virginia Tech and San Francisco.
