Winter is leaving Utah with a bang, but Spring warmth is on its way.

Many parts of the Wasatch Front received up to 2 inches of snow on Monday.

By evening, the temperatures were about 40 for a high, with a low in the mid- to upper-20s Monday night, said Steve Rogowski of the National Weather Service.

St. George will be nippy as well, with a high near 50 Monday and a chance of rain or snow showers.

But Tuesday, the first day of spring, brings a pleasant warming trend throughout the state.

And by the later part of the week, the Wasatch Front should be in the 60s, hitting 70 by Friday, Rogowski said.

St. George will also heat up, staying in the mid-70s by Thursday and Friday.
