Minita S. Patel has joined Rocky Mountain Women's Health Center in Layton. Patel is board-certified in OB-GYN and fellowship trained in urogynecology. She received her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School.

Jennifer J. Jensen, a certified nurse midwife and women's health nurse practitioner, has joined Salt Lake Regional Women's Clinic, on the campus of Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. Jensen received her undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Utah, followed by a master's degree focusing on nurse midwifery and women's health.

The Salt Lake City law firm of Parr Brown Gee & Loveless has announced that Mary Ann May has joined the firm's litigation group, with an emphasis in employment law. She earned her law degree from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2010. Before joining Parr Brown, May served as a judicial law clerk for Matthew Durrant, associate chief justice of the Utah Supreme Court.

The Utah Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit offering free programming to the public, has elected five people to its board of directors. Nancy Bentley, of Price, is director of active re-entry. Ami Comeford, of St. George, is an associate professor of English at Dixie State College. Kathryn Hurst, of Blanding, recently retired as curriculum development and media specialist for the San Juan School District. Robert King, of Salt Lake City, is a lecturer in English and American Studies at Utah State University's Tooele Regional Campus. Sam Passey, of Vernal, is director of the Uintah County Library System.

The board of directors of TraskBritt, a Salt Lake City-based law firm, has announced that shareholder J. Jeffrey Gunn has been named an officer and director of the firm. Gunn received a bachelor of science degree in materials science and engineering and a law degree from the University of Utah. He is a member of the Utah State Bar and is a patent attorney registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Ancestry.com Inc., a Utah company that provides online access to genealogical records, said CFO Howard Hochhauser has been named to the additional position of chief operating officer. Eric Shoup, senior vice president of product, has been named executive vice president. Scott Sorensen, vice president of engineering, has been named senior vice president and remains the leader of the company's engineering group. Jeff Weber, vice president of people, has been named senior vice president of people and places, and will continue to lead the company's human resources group.

CHG Healthcare Services said Alan McIver has joined the health care staffing company as group president, operating out of the company's headquarters in Salt Lake City. McIver will provide strategic oversight for CHG's nurse staffing business, RN Network, based in Boca Raton, Fla., as well as the rehab staffing business based in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Michelle Korthuis, of Elements in Decor in Salt Lake City, was recently named winner of the sales representative category during the 23rd annual ARTS Awards gala. The ARTS Awards, presented each January at the Dallas Market Center during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, is the premier awards program for the decorative accessory industry.

Blake Wigdahl, vice president of design and programming at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, was one of only 18 senior-level executives from around the world chosen to participate as a 2012 fellow at the Noyce Leadership Institute, which brings together executives working in informal science education for leadership training. Wigdahl was selected based on his effort to help Thanksgiving Point become a center for developing sustainable ways to grow and connect with food by building a local community food network.

Dunn Associates, a Salt Lake City-based structural engineering firm, has promoted Christopher Olson to principal engineer. Olson received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Utah in 1996. He has more than 16 years of experience and has been with Dunn since 2001. David Dunn has been promoted to an associate. He received his civil engineering degree from the U. of U. in 2005, graduating summa cum laude. He joined Dunn Associates in 2005.
