HOUSTON • Dynamo midfielder Colin Clark says he's sorry for directing a gay slur toward a ballboy during Houston's 2-0 loss at the Seattle Sounders on Friday night.

Clark posted his apology on Twitter on Saturday morning, and the Dynamo say he will personally apologize to the ballboy. Major League Soccer says it's "conducting a thorough review of the facts and examining possible disciplinary action."

The 27-year-old Clark has played in each of Houston's three games this season, totaling 262 minutes. Clark apologized for using "awful language" toward the ballboy. In a second Twitter post, he said: "I didn't mean to disrespect anyone and am sorry for letting my emotions get the best of me. It's not who I am and it won't happen again."
