The Utah Opera Chorus will be holding auditions for the 2012-2013 Utah Opera season on April 12. Members of the Utah Opera Chorus are directed by Dr. Susanne Sheston. The repertoire for the 2012-2013 season includes Verdi's "Il Trovatore" (The Troubador), The Utah Opera premiere of Daniel Catán's "Florencia en el Amazonas" (Florencia in the Amazon), Mozart's "The Magic Flute," and Rossini's "The Barber of Seville." Auditions will be held at the Utah Opera Production Studios between 4 and 8:30 p.m. by appointment only. Applicants should be trained singers living in Utah with significant stage experience. They must have one aria or art song prepared from memory and will be asked to sight-sing. Applicants should contact Shaun Ricks, sricks@usuo.org to request an audition.
