If the popular mobile app Foursquare is any indication, folks in Salt Lake City tend to wait until the last minute to file their tax returns.

The popular app allows users to "check in" wherever they happen to be using mobile phones or other devices. Based on data from last year, Salt Lake City had the largest share of Foursquare users who, in the days and hours leading up to the tax deadline, checked in at post offices or H&R Block while they were trying to get their returns filed.

Columbus, Ohio, wasNo. 2, followed by Indianapolis; Richmond, Va.; and Bridgeport, Conn. —
