The owners of Meditrina, a popular small plates and tapas bar, are planning a second Salt Lake City restaurant that will feature made-from-scratch breakfasts.
When Pig & A Jelly Jar opens sometime in early May, it will offer a menu that includes house-made waffles, sauasages and jams. The restaurant also will serve lunch and offer a special three-course "Sunday Supper," said co-owner Jennifer Gilroy who will be the executive chef over both restaurants.
Prices at the Pig & Jelly Jar will range from $8 to $12, she said.
The restaurant will be located at 401 E. 900 South, in the remodeled building that was once occupied by Your Boss Catering. It is an up-and-coming food area in Salt Lake City with Elizabeth's Bakery, the British Pantry as well as the new Tea Grotto situated nearby.
