Progrexion says $1M Utah expansion could add 500 jobs

Progrexion, a North Salt Lake-based marketing company whose clients include consumer credit report repair services, said it plans to open a facility in West Valley City that could pave the way for hiring 500 people over the next year.

The company is expected to invest more than $1 million to purchase new equipment for its operations and to improve the space it will occupy at 2850 S. Decker Lake Drive.

Progrexion, which employs nearly 1,000 people, has outgrown two 14,000-square-foot buildings on its North Salt Lake campus and needs additional space, said spokeswoman Celeste Edmunds-Brady. "So we will be moving 250 of our existing employees to our new West Valley location."

She said the move will provide space and the opportunity for Progrexion over the next year to hire an additional 250 in North Salt Lake and an additional 250 for its new West Valley facility.

Edmunds-Brady said Progrexion will conduct a job fair and public-awareness event at its West Valley City location from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 2.

"We want this [job fair] to be a family-friendly event," she said, indicating there will be prizes, food and games. Free credit reports also will be offered.

The West Valley facility, which is expected to be operational by May 1, will be the fourth location for Progrexion. In addition to its North Salt Lake campus, the company operates offices in Provo and Rexburg, Idaho, both of which employ around 100.
