Jazz veterans Josh Howard and Raja Bell, who have been sidelined with knee injuries, participated in practice on a limited basis Friday morning.Although the team offered no timetable for their return, Howard and Bell took a tangible step in rejoining the active roster by practicing.Point guard Earl Watson (knee surgery) and swingman C.J. Miles (calf strain) remain sidelined. The Jazz play Orlando on Saturday night. With a record of 33-30, they are currently tied with Phoenix for the eighth and final playoff berth in the Western Conference. The return of Howard and/or Bell would greatly improve Utah's depth among wing players, where second-year man Gordon Hayward, former free agent DeMarre Carroll and rookie Alec Burks have been carrying most of the workload.— Steve Luhm
