Is it time to plant yet?

Since it's almost time to plant beans, I would like to share a fun project for a garden or back yard this year. Create the framework for a teepee with long branches or planks of wood, secure the top and plant pole (climbing) beans around the base. By mid-summer you'll have a bean teepee for small children to play in.

Also pictured above are the way I like to protect frost-sensitive plants under later in the spring. I posted both of these projects on my Pinterest.com gardening board HERE. Not sure when to plant your favorite vegetables? Go HERE for a spring time planting guide from Utah State University Cooperative Extension, which can help you figure out when to plant each variety.
