One of Disneyland's oldest attractions so old, in fact, that the Osmond Brothers performed there when they were kids is being closed, but not without a protest.
Carnation Plaza Gardens, a venue for swing dancing under a red-and-white canopy near Sleeping Beauty's Castle, will have its final dance on Saturday, the Orange County Register reported.
The venue will be turned into Fantasy Faire, a meet-and-greet spot for Disney's princesses. Disney officials tell the OC Register, though, that nighttime dances will return to the area when it reopens next year.
Fans of swing dancing have started an online petition, aimed at saving the Gardens - which they claim houses the longest continuously running swing-dance event in the world.
