The San Francisco acoustic-driven band Blame Sally is a quartet of four accomplished female singer-songwriters one of whom is Salt Lake City native Monica Pasqual, whose father was once headed the Utah Arts Council and whose mother is the famed Utah artist, painter, sculptor Pilar Pobil. Pasqual moved to the Bay Area to seek fortune and fame as a solo singer-songwriter, but has found unanticipated with success with Blame Sally, which she calls "a product of my soul." She added: "I never tour as solo artist [anymore]. Blame Sally has been the main priority for quite awhile." Pasqual still writes and records solo albums during her rare time off, and it was no small surprise to her fans that both Pasqual and Blame Sally were each nominated for multiple awards at the 2012 Independent Music Awards. She called her solo output and Blame Sally "two different expressions." The talented local singer-songwriter Kate MacLeod opens.
