Now In Salt Lake, the weekly entertainment tabloid produced by The Salt Lake Tribune and owned by Media One of Utah, will cease publication in June.

"It was a business decision. People change their behaviors and their preferences, and I think that a weekly tabloid is frankly a thing of the past," MediaOne CEO Brent Low said Thursday.

Two employees will be laid off after the publication's final issue comes out on June 1.

MediaOne is evaluating whether there are better ways to distribute information about the Salt Lake City entertainment scene.

"We just don't know what that would be at this point," Low said.

MediaOne is jointly owned by The Tribune and the Deseret News. It carries out business duties for both papers while they compete editorially.
