Igor Klimov has been a volunteer with the Foster Grandparent Program since 1998. He has worked with preschool-age children at three locations and currently serves at Kearns Day Care center. He is an artist who has brightened many walls at places he has served, often painting fairy-tale scenes focused on animals and Disney characters. His English skills are somewhat limited, but he has used his experience to help children who also are ESL speakers, according to Vicki Jo Hansen. He also teaches children art.
"Thank you, Igor, for all the years of service and the many children's lives you have touched and enriched through your kindness and caring," Hansen said.
