Verisimilitude check at Dead Horse Point

It beats the heck out of us why tourists in Utah's redrock country would want to go inside a building to look at pictures of Utah's redrock country.

But apparently they do. The Bighorn Gallery at Dead Horse Point State Park regularly hangs such exhibits and people look at the stuff. We're not saying the images aren't good—but can they compare to the 3-D view over the Dead Horse abyss a few steps away?

In any case, the landscape and nature work of Moab professional photographer Jon Fuller will be on display from May 4 to July 1. Take in the park's holy s*#&! view, then look at Fuller's photos and tell us which is better.

Dead Horse Point State Park is nine miles north of Moab on U.S. Route 191, then 23 miles south on State Road 313. The visitor center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Park fee $10. For more information, contact the park at 435-259-2614.
