DVD • "George Harrison: Living in the Material World" is Martin Scorsese's 3½-hour documentary about the ex-Beatle. Made with the cooperation of his widow, this an absorbing portrait of a man who's more than just a singer and guitarist.
It's episodic, almost choppy at times, but it's filled with amazing photos and film clips from performances and interviews. Nothing is off limits, from the drug use to the personal conflicts to his philandering.
But this is a loving, yet honest, portrait of Harrison. If you've ever enjoyed a Beatles song and who hasn't? you'll enjoy this documentary.
