A host of Utah and U.S. organizations met with the National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce Monday for a conference to explore future trade alliances.

Representatives of the Salt Lake Chamber, the Governor's Office of Economic Development, World Trade Center Utah and the U.S. Commercial Service gathered to address issues such as job creation through developing alternative-energy sectors, enabling and empowering Arab youth, the role of venture capital and rebuilding and modernizing infrastructure.

The conference, at the Salt Lake Chamber offices in Salt Lake City, also examined case studies from the Arab world, including factors that have contributed to successful outcomes and remaining challenges.
