Woman charged after using employers credit cards

A Layton woman was charged with theft for alledgedly using her employer's credit card to make personal purchases.
The 36-year-old was hired at the machinery business in 2006. Among her responsibilities was managing and reconciling the company's credit card statements, court documents state. Between July 2009 and October 2011, the woman used two of the company's credit cards to make purchases of more than $45,000 plus late fees, charging documents say. Those purchases included coffee and a car. When confronted by a supervisor the woman said she was glad she had been caught, court documents say.
The woman was charged with one count of theft, a second-degree felony.
