If you've already witnessed William Michals as Miguel de Cervantes and Don Quixote in Pioneer Theatre Company's production of "Man of La Mancha" then you already know the man needs little in the way of introduction. His singing, to resort to truth by way of cliché, speaks for itself.

Fresh from his role, and before heading back to his East Coast abode, Williams will present a full-dress program of Broadway show tune favorites May 20, including classics by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, Jerome Kern, Andrew Lloyd Weber, his friend Frank Wildhorn.

"I love to pick and choose my favorites, and crowd favorites, when I put together a program like this," he wrote via e-mail.

"Some Enchanted Evening," "Music of the Night," and "This Is The Moment" from Michals' many Broadway roles in "South Pacific," "Les Misérable," "Chicago," "Phantom," "Camelot," "Music Man," and "Oklahoma!" are included. So, too, are selections from "Man of La Mancha!"

If you enjoyed the flair of this "Broadway baritone" from "Man of La Mancha," and enjoy musicals, this is a safe investment in your late afternoon entertainment.
