We've got a few BYU sports-related tidbits for you this morning, but first I'm putting out another call for some reader help on a project I'm working on about golfing in Utah. Specifically, I am trying to identify the best golf deals around the state. Which courses give you the most bang for your buck? Here's a good example of what I am looking for from Dave Warby:"I have played many courses around the country and most of them charge a lot more money to play when compared to courses in Utah. My favorite course in Utah, for the money spent, is the Mountain Course at Wasatch Mountain State Park. The best time is the fall with the colors. They only charge $42 for a round of 18 [holes] including cart. Other states would charge over $100 for this same experience."

Of course, that doesn't mean it will be on the main station. It could be on any of ESPN's platforms, including ESPN2 or ESPNU, for instance. This video made the rounds last week, but in case you missed it, here's a comical look at BYU quarterback Riley Nelson's "work" in the BYUtv offices. Finally, congratulations to the BYU women's softball team, which is continuing a phenomenal year for BYU's women's sports programs. The softball team won the WAC tournament championship last week with wins over No. 11 Hawaii and perennial national contender Fresno State and will play in the 2012 NCAA softball championship later this week. The Cougars (43-13) will open the tournament against Mississippi State in Eugene, Ore. Oregon and Portland State are also in the bracket hoping to advance to the Super Regionals. Perhaps the best sports story this spring coming out of Utah County does not involve BYU. The Utah Valley baseball team has won an incredible 32 straight games after knocking off NYIT on Sunday. The Wolverines (39-11) play their final five games of the regular season at home in Orem before hosting the Great West Conference Tournament on May 22 at Brent Brown Ballpark. UVU plays host to Utah on Tuesday night in what will be a huge test for the winning streak.
